| Q1)
Why do you ask if a signature is required?
A)
The most common reason is annoying your intended recipient. If they
aren’t available for some reason to sign for the package, a note
is left and the item is taken to the nearest post office. They are then
forced to go out of their way and visit the post office to collect your
script!! If in doubt, we recommend you not request this element.
Q2)
How can you offer INDUSTRY STANDARD?
A)
We have done our research. We have contacted a number of professionals,
including script consultants and producers, and asked them for their
input. We have then collected together all the information – end
result a professionally bound screenplay to UK standards.
Q3)
Will my screenplay be in safe hands?
A)
Of course. Once your screenplay is complete you will need to register
it. There are many companies you can use for this, the most popular
being the WGA. If you are still unsure about sending us your material
we would be more than happy to sign a Non-Disclosure or Confidentiality
Agreement for you.
Q4)
How do I send you my file to print and bind?
A) Just click the BUY NOW button on the homepage and complete the order
process. After paying you will be taken to a page that will ask you
for your details, screenplay details and recipients details. And that's
it.
Q5) What files are welcome at Movie
Jigsaw?
A) The order form will confirm the file formats we welcome, but they
are currently FINAL DRAFT, MOVIEMAGIC SCREENWRITER, WORD or PDF. If
you require another format please contact us before ordering.
Q6) I'm based in Europe but want to
send a screenplay to a UK producer. Can I use Movie Jigsaw? [Same Q
for US too]
A) Of course. We welcome orders from any country outside the UK.
Q7) I want to send to the US, with the three brads. Do you do that?
A) Yes, we can arrange for your screenplay to reach a US destination.
There will be an additional £5 charge for this option, and you
would need to place your order directly via email to Ian Noakes at ian@moviejigsaw.com
Q)
Why use a paper-based service? Don't scripts get requested and sent
by .pdf these days?
A) If a producer requests a hard copy of your screenplay - you send
a hard copy of your screenplay. There are a number of reasons why a
producer would request your script as a hard copy, and it is not important
to you the writer. It's a hard business to crack, so you need to show
you can follow instructions. Let me just leave you with this... The
producer walks into his office before taking off for the weekend. He
has a bunch of PDF scripts on his computer and a professional pile of
bound scripts on his desk... Which do you think he'll read over the
weekend?
Q) What sort of on-line payment do you accept? Credit card, debit card,
paypal?
A) We have decided to accept all our payments through the biggest payment
acceptance company online - PayPal. It's secure, and will enable you
to pay by Credit Card and/or via their member service.
Q: What if I have a problem downloading my script file? Will someone
be able to talk me through it?
A) If you have any problems, or even a query, you can contact Ian directly
on ian@moviejigsaw.com -- However, the site has been set up to be very
easy to use. Once you click the PAY BUTTON you just follow the prompts.
When the time comes to upload your script file you just attach it to
an email and send it through to us. Easy.
